WAH.

I need a good book. It's partly for this Share-a-Book shit for school, but then i only now realized that i have stopped reading books altogether about a year ago, so that's another reason to start again.

So do any of you have any good books to recommend? If it was Share-a-Fic, i'd be overflowing with good ones, but they said it had to have morals, so that ended that. Pfft.

What kind of books are you looking for? Classical? Modern-ish???

anything, actually. as long as it does not go against these moral things they speak of. haha. :)

Morals? A good book with morals?

Right. Um. *mind gone totally blank*

We read The Heather Blazing by Colm Toibin in my final year of high school, which I loved and sent me on an Irish kick for months.

Recently, I've been rotting my brain by reading fluffy smut *cough*.
So I'm sorry that I can't help more. :(

Books? I have hundreds of books! That's why I never have any money!

What kind do you want? And what exactly do they mean by 'must have morals'?

Also, I just realized that I still owe you beta notes from forever ago. I'll see if I can dig them up.

Telling me "whatever you find really worth the read" is more dangerous than you know :D

Give me some hints about what you like/want -- genre, length, modern, classics . . . Do you want Very Serious works of Literature? Fantasy novels? More books like HP that pretend to be children's books but are actually clever and deep?

*snort* Yeah...books with morals...depends on how you define a moral, really. Try these:

The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown (also, Angels and Demons, Deception Point, and Digital Fortress by the same author)

Stranger in a Strange Land, by Robert A. Heinlein. Read that one in my senior year of high school. I don't recomend it for anyone under the age of 16 or 17, unless their mature for their age. It's not racey or anything, just requires serious thinking and the ability to not allow a book to screw you up, 'cause it will if you're not careful. It's really very very good (I went to a catholic high school and they had us read this, ok? Really, it's fine)

I think that's it.

ooo...His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman!!
I'm so in love with book..It's a Trilogy. V. long, but sooo well worth the read.
That's, of course, If you've never read it before.

Yes, I do realize this is way late, but yeh...you should still read it.

P.S. It's one of those books that pretend to be children's books, but are actually clever and deep..yes :P

Your welcome!
Although, I was being a tad bit selfish when I advised this book. I'm on a mad spree to have everyone read it. It's that good...
To me atleast..
I do hope you enjoy it. It'd be funny to hear you didn't enjoy when I told you it was like, the best book ever.
*laughs*
