Say what?
Naruto? Yeah.
She kisses Sasuke once. It’s one of those moments, the terrible, terrible sort that are covered in blossoms and sunlight, disguised until all you see are the good stuff, no sign at all of the impending tragedy. The whole set-up makes Sakura actually want to be there. Stay there.
It’s just the two of them now, Naruto is with Kakashi-sensei, and Sasuke wanted to take a walk-- and of course, Sakura would follow. Sasuke is being his quiet self, and Sakura is blushing and fumbling with invisible things. ‘The weather’s really great today,’ she comments, and it’s a pathetic thing to say, but- ‘Yeah,’ Sasuke answers and gives her a look, not one that means anything, just eyes and looking at her and looking away again. But it’s enough.
She stops walking altogether and stares at Sasuke’s back, still treading on, and it takes him a few seconds to stop and turn around. His hands are in his pockets and he looks so casual, the sunlight hitting and dodging just the right places, and she wonders if this is why she fell in love with him at all. Because he looks beautiful under sunlight and moonlight and in bruises and blood. She's not sure if she’ll love him any other way, and she thinks of accursed blood and ugly scars, and yes. She’ll love him then, too. Always will.
Her hands are resting on her sides, and there is an unusual calm that settles inside her. She’s figured something out. She steps forward and feels fear draining out of her with every step, each one like freedom, until she’s inches away from Sasuke, who’s staring down at her calmly. She almost smiles, almost says his name, but she doesn’t. She does lean forward, though, and stares at his eyes. She almost gasps.
His eyes are blank and unfeeling, hollow, and he isn’t there at all. She kisses him then, urgently. She was never impulsive, but it's more of a need than anything, just to convince herself that he’ll come back if she asks him to, if she wanted him to. Her lips are frantic and hopeful, like she’s trying to make something out of thin air.
He doesn't move, doesn't even take his hands out of his pockets. When he pulls away gently, she realizes she was never that strong, not anywhere near as powerful as she thought she was. Sasuke looks away, and his eyes aren't hooded at all, everything is still painfully clear, and calm. He tells her they should head back.
When he walks away and leaves her, she still loves him. It was never cruelty, after all. Just thin air.

I don't like this pairing, but I started writing it without any real thought and actually came up with an ending. Sort of. Interesting, that.
Also, I feel that my writing has been wonky and stupid lately. Oh, um, yeah, nothing new. I meant, more wonky and stupid than usual. Ugh. I feel all angsty now. *angsts*
I'm not a fan of either of these characters, but whatever.
